Welcome to my personal website.

First and foremost, I’m a technology geek fortunate enough to have the privilege of leading R&D departments of circa 100 people. Many of my friends believe that management and “hacking” are incompatible – I beg to differ. After all, a 100 people department gives you 800 hours in a day, not mere 24 or even 16, essentials out!

Second, I’ve spent most of my career as a product and technology focused executive leader and contributor in computer security, email and web, cloud and boxed products. Naturally, this defines my areas of interest.

Third, I am still old-fashioned enough to run my own web, mail, and other servers right under my desk in my home office. This means that although most of my days are spent innovating together with my fantastic team and helping the company I work for deliver outstanding products, I still do like to keep my hands dirty playing with good old sysadmin and coding tasks. This enables me to trial new and upcoming technologies first-hand and to remain relevant in a fast-paced technological 21st century.

I have lots and lots of interests, but I only get really excited when doing things no one did before, or where others tried, but didn’t succeed. That’s what I like to write about.

There are loads of websites about security and malware nowadays. They publish security news, discuss vulnerabilities, botnets, spam, and malware – all kinds. This is not one of them.

There are loads of portals about everything and nothing. They try to build the largest community possible and make money by showing ads. This is not one of them.

There are websites devoted to troubleshooting user issues and providing FAQs around different operating systems. They even try to charge end users for solutions. This is not one of them.

This website is about things I care about, where no one said anything or very little sensible yet. This means here you will find posts about malware, spam, computer software and hardware, books, investments, travel and anything else that interests me.

One last thing: I only sell my expertise. Write me through LinkedIn if that is something you may be interested in.
